Paul has been a Christian for 65 years and a member, deacon, elder and local preacher in seven churches in three different countries. He came to Gloucester in 1973 as a Lecturer in Electronic Engineering in what is now the University of Gloucestershire. In 1996 he and his wife, Hilary, served in Nepal for 4 years with BMS World Mission at Kathmandu University. They were then Wardens of a Hostel for overseas university students in Cambridge for a Christian Charity for six years. Returning to Gloucester in retirement they joined Abbey Church in 2007. Paul is a tour guide for the Gloucester Civic Trust and leads walking tours on Gloucester’s Christian Heritage, and he and Hilary are both members of Gideons International.

Chair of the World Vision Team
Paul is the Chair of the World Vision Team at Abbey. The World Vision Team aims to connect Abbey Church with those who we support world wide through prayer, giving, and other appropriate ways.
