At Abbey Church we love to be family and spend time together as family, but we also recognise the importance of being able to engage with our children and young people in a way that is helpful to them. As part of that we run different groups on a Sunday and midweek to allow them to meet together and explore what Christianity means for them. The children are welcome to stay in our main service but parents often find it helpful to allow their children to join one of the groups available.
This is a twice-monthly Club which held at Heron School on the 1st and 3rd Friday’s for primary school-aged children. Come and enjoy games, crafts, refreshments and hear Bible stories. There is no charge to attend.
Friday Fun Football
Meets on Fridays at 4.15pm at Abbeydale Community Centre Astroturf, enjoy learning football skills, playing matches and hearing Bible stories, also at Heron School.

– ALL players need to have moulded studs
– All players need to bring a water bottle
– We recommend all players bring a light jacket and to make sure they are warm enough, as the nights close in we may get some bad weather and we don’t want anyone getting too cold out there.
All of our groups are subject to cancellation and change at short notice due to changing COVID-19 guidance.
